Upcoming Event: Colorado Space Round Up 2009
December 9, 2009 8:15 am - 4:00 pm at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science
Co-hosted by the Colorado Space Business Roundtable (CSBR) and the Colorado Space Coalition (CSC), the Colorado Space Round-Up is now in its sixth year and has become one of Colorado’s premier events to connect with the Space and Aerospace community throughout the state. Focusing on the people and issues that are of interest to our state has become the corner stone of this successful event. This year will be no exception.

There will be four engaging panel discussions.
- The first will be a panel exploring the Nuts and Bolts of Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfers (STTRs) and how to utilize the billions of dollars set aside each year for early-stage R&D projects for small business
- The second will be our annual congressional update which is sure to be exciting learning about the road ahead with new leadership in Congress and the Whitehouse.
- The third panel for the third year running will highlight the young people who are the future of the space and aerospace industry.
- The fourth and final panel will wrap everything up with a brief from Colorado’s larger aerospace primes on their current and future plans.

The event’s nonstop activity has plenty of networking opportunities to meet new clients and get to know others in the aerospace industry as well as catch up with your acquaintances. We kick-off the event with a 45 minute networking coffee and breakfast provided by our Silver sponsor ULA.  There will be two ½ hour networking breaks one in the morning and one in the afternoon compliments of our Bronze sponsors: Northrop Grumman and Raytheon.

This year’s lunch program will be sponsored by our two returning Gold sponsors Boeing and Lockheed Martin.  This informative program will include opening comments from Colorado's Lieutenant Governor Barbara O’Brien.  We will also be introducing our current CSBR/CSC ARCS scholar.  This year’s keynote lunch speaker Dr. Inc Johann-Dietrich Wörner, the Chairman of the Executive Board of the German Aerospace Center (DRL), will share with us his international insight into the global Aerospace market.

What is the Colorado Space Business Roundtable...
The Colorado Space Business Roundtable (CSBR) was initially formed in 1993 under the auspices of the Colorado Office of Space Advocacy and reorganized in the summer of 1996 as an independent, nonprofit organization. CSBR provides a forum to promote the growth of space and space - related industry in Colorado for existing and entrepreneurial businesses and activities.

This business networking organization affords the opportunity to share mutual concerns and ideas with all facets of the Colorado space industry - software and information systems, satellite and launch vehicle operations, telecommunications, biotechnology, remote sensing as well as our government, academic, legislative, media and public partners.

The CSBR encourages and fosters the growth of Colorado's space-related activities in tandem with the significant contributions already realized from the government, industrial, academic and scientific communities. The climate for the future development of space business in Colorado is promising due to the existing leadership in space technology, the commercial and military space presence, and the high tech work force. One of the goals of the CSBR is to further develop and strengthen relationships among all members of the Colorado high technology community - extending beyond the Front Range.
