PROPEL Colorado is a new initiative led by CSBR to advance Colorado aerospace workforce development. Supported by grant funding, PROPEL Colorado will expand access to space industry careers through new curriculum, work-based learning opportunities, credentials, and vocational pathways aligned with industry needs.
For over 30 years, CSBR has brought together industry, academia, and government to advance Colorado’s aerospace ecosystem. PROPEL Colorado builds on this legacy, equipping underrepresented learners with skills for success in one of Colorado’s fastest-growing sectors.

Colorado’s aerospace industry faces a critical talent shortage, creating urgent needs in Colorado aerospace workforce development. PROPEL Colorado bridges this gap – connecting employers with job-ready talent while helping individuals build futures in high-demand, high-tech aerospace jobs.
Through this program we will:
Identify Skills Gaps
Identify pressing skills gaps in Colorado’s aerospace workforce.
Align Training
Collaborate with employers and educators to align training with industry needs.
Share Curriculum
Build and share industry-aligned curriculum with schools across the state.
Create Pathways
Create new, credentialed training pathways – accessible to high school students, adult learners, and career changers.
Expand Awareness
Expand awareness of aerospace career opportunities statewide.
Our Vision
Our Vision is to establish Colorado as a leader in aerospace workforce readiness and Colorado aerospace workforce development, preparing Coloradans with the skills needed for a rapidly evolving space economy. By taking on the role of workforce intermediary, CSBR will remain the leading local organization supporting aerospace workforce development and industry engagement.
What We're Doing
Employer Engagement
Hosting roundtables to pinpoint talent gaps and strengthen Colorado aerospace workforce development through industry partnerships.
Curriculum Development
Working with K-12 schools, community colleges, and CTE programs to deliver new and enhanced aerospace-focused education
Pathway Creation
Developing micro-pathways, apprenticeships, and work-based learning opportunities for students and adult learners
Outreach
Promoting aerospace careers through events, multimedia campaigns, and partnerships with educators and community organizations
Strategic Reporting
Collaborating with partners to shape a multi-year strategy for Colorado’s aerospace workforce
